Iain Mclennan: BIO

Iain Mclennan - Singer/Songwriter

2004-2005...
Released new solo album "Faith". After building his Studio Iain has recorde several new artists and helps many who have'nt experienced studio time. "Hearing your voice for the first time can be a surprise. Proximity etc make a huge difference, so it's rewarding to record someone new and let them discover for themselves, if they are prepared to put in or pull out. Apart from the experience these young people get, I too, learn as I try to keep the vocal clean and lively.

2006 is going to be a change as Iain works his way to forming an new band and throw the songs in the air... I think he'll do just fine.

IAIN McLENNAN-BIOGRAPHY
Iain began his tertiary education at N.I.D.A. Fully aware of the honor of gaining a place there ,Iain gave his full attention. Well, perhaps not quite his full attention. By the end of the first year he was working as a professional musician in the highly respected 'SUN'.

"FAITH"

Iain has built his new studio "OINKMUSE"
This is where the recording of "FAITH" was done.
"I was recording and building at the same time!"

29th December 2004.
After nearly two years Oinkmuse Studio is near completion. Christmas has come and gone and I have recorded 5 tracks for the new album "The Cell"
I must say, I was concerned that I might lose some of the characteristics of the studio, but to my delight it's still magic.
"FAITH" was the first album on which I was writer, singer, engineer, producer, playing most of the instruments. Positive feedback is always nice to hear and with that I am being asked many questions re: how did you do this recording and where? My reply is genuinely I'm not really sure. My ears told me what I needed to know, the rest was kept very simple.
Have a listen
Thanks to all new friends who have contacted me. Your feedback is invaluable.

To all I wish you happiness, freedom and a healthy New Year.

Sunday 9th/1/2005
Hope everyone had a fun Xmas and that 2005 is good for the world.

I've been slack of late, Too many celebrations!
January has begun with world news and it's a good time to reflect on how fortunate we are to be here. If there's a dollar or two lying around the place send it to the current relief fund. Sunday sees me selling 50 multi coloured HOOLA HOOPS with the money going to the support fund. I found the HOOLA HOOPS in a dumpster/brand new and ready to go.
Initially I was going to give them to some of the local kids but as I said Sunday is a big day for HOOLA HOOPS and I hope to raise a reasonable amount of cash. I cannot HOOLA HOOP and I hope this does not effect sales! I thought I had rhythm but no: two rotations and slip, trip! forget it!
I nominate a world HOOLA HOOP DAY with all the trimmings. Demonstrations by world champions,,,invitation only of course!!!!
Feburary sees not only my birthday 15.02.1954: but my fathers 80th 13.02.1925.
Rehersals etc and a couple of gigs. I havn't performed live for some time and the great surge of nervous energy has begun. Sorry I cann't tell you who will be with me as I havn't decided on the band. I am aiming to have three groupings 1. Complete band. 2. Blues country trio and of course last but not least Myself with another.
So Feb is full, I shall post dates when they become available.
Meanwhile I am adding more pics of Studio construction and a couple of new songs.
Cheers Iain
